Hi I’m AnnMichelle Hart, founder of HartLaw PLLC, an Estate Planning law firm in Washington State.

I’m going to tell you a little bit more about me and why I practice Estate Planning.

I’m a military brat. Our family has a long line of military service. Both my parents served. Yes, that means my mother wore combat boots. I’m pretty proud of that. That background instilled the value of doing for others, sometimes without regard to the cost. I have crisscrossed the country and lived in quite a few states.

I can tell you that while there are differences in geography and cultures across the United States, underneath it all – we all value family and security.

I started working at 11 babysitting, then I worked flipping houses with my best friend’s family. And I got the usual teenage jobs working in fast food locations.

I stayed in Seattle for college where I graduated with a degree in Business Administration with a focus on Marketing, Advertising, and Psychology – which during a recession landed me in customer service and sales instead of the Advertising Agency as I had planned. In hindsight, it wasn’t a bad thing. These customer service and sales positions fit right into my family’s background of serving people.

I was looking for something more creative to do since I missed the opportunity to be creative in advertising, so on the side, I opened and ran a successful wedding consulting business for 25 years. I enjoyed creating events and making sure they ran smoothly, but I still felt something was missing.

I had always had an interest in legal shows and dramas on TV my whole life, so I decided to challenge myself by pursuing a law degree. It’s been the best decision because it allows me to fully apply my family’s background of serving and helping people by ensure their family friends and charities are taken care of through good estate planning.

I don’t just practice law in serving people. I’ve been a youth day camp director for both the Downtown Seattle YMCA and the Federal Way Boy’s and Girl’s Club. I’ve been a Sunday School teacher for the junior high youth group at my church during college. I continue to mentor high school, college, and law school students. I judge mock trials at the high school and law school levels. And I’m currently serving on the board of a local non-profit working to form and run a public market in our city.

So, when I say I’m your attorney with heart, I really do mean it. I’m here to serve you in making sure you have an estate plan that works for you.

I’m Ann Hart, HartLaw PLLC, your attorney with heart.
